This disclaimer sets out the basis on which GC Overseas provides its services. Please read it carefully before booking — by using our platform you accept the position described below.
1. We are an intermediary, not the carrier
GC Overseas operates as an intermediary / air travel agent and consolidator. We arrange and facilitate the booking of airline seats; we do not operate aircraft and are not the carrier.
The contract of carriage for every flight is concluded directly between the passenger and the operating airline shown on the e-ticket. That contract is governed by:
- the operating airline's own Conditions of Carriage and published fare rules; and
- the Carriage by Air Act, 1972 and, on applicable international journeys, the Montreal Convention, 1999 as given force in India.
Our role, and its limits, are summarised below.
| Matter | Handled by GC Overseas | Handled by the operating airline |
|---|---|---|
| Booking, ticketing, invoicing | Yes | — |
| Passing on your refund/credit note | Yes | — |
| Actual carriage, crew, aircraft | — | Yes |
| Schedules, delays, cancellations | — | Yes |
| Denied boarding, baggage, on-board service | — | Yes |
| Carrier liability for injury/loss | — | Yes |
2. Fare errors and pricing mistakes
Fares are supplied by airlines and consolidators and are occasionally published with an obvious error — for example a mis-keyed amount, a missing tax component, or a currency/decimal mistake. Where a fare is clearly erroneous, GC Overseas reserves the right to correct the price or cancel the affected booking before travel. If we cancel on this ground, your only remedy is a full refund of amounts paid to us for that booking; we accept no further liability.
3. No professional or travel advice
Nothing on this platform is medical, insurance, immigration, visa, tax or travel advice. We do not assess your fitness to travel or the suitability of any itinerary. You are responsible for independently verifying, for every passenger and destination (including transit points):
- entry, visa and transit requirements;
- health, vaccination and quarantine requirements; and
- any travel insurance you may need.
Consult the relevant embassy, the airline, and official government sources before you travel.
4. Third-party content is provided "as available"
Airline schedules, seat availability, timings and fare data are third-party content displayed on an "as available" basis. It can change without notice, and the airline's own systems are authoritative. We re-verify availability at the point of booking but do not warrant that any displayed information is continuously accurate or error-free.
5. Service provided "as is"
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the platform and our services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. This clause does not exclude any right you have that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
6. Travel documents are your responsibility
You must hold a valid passport, visa and any health documents required for your whole journey, with names matching your ticket exactly. If an airline or immigration authority denies boarding or entry for deficient or mismatched documents, that is not a service failure by GC Overseas, and applicable airline/fare charges will apply.
7. Events beyond our control
We are not liable for airline schedule changes, delays, cancellations or denied boarding, nor for any force majeure or event beyond our reasonable control — including weather, strikes, air-traffic or airport restrictions, technical faults, government or regulatory action, and civil disturbance. Airline refund and cancellation outcomes follow DGCA Civil Aviation Requirements and the fare rules of your ticket; see our Refund Policy.
